The story of two young people who were arrested after a series of drugs were found to be adulterated with sildenafil. A trial in New York has ended.
Two men who were accused of running a large Internet pharmacy called The Farm for Pills in New York were found to have been using sildenafil, a drug used to treat erectile dysfunction, in a way that could lead to a dangerous drug reaction.
A trial in Manhattan last summer in which the men were arrested for selling a variety of drugs was also found to be a dangerous drug reaction. The case involved an Internet pharmacy called The Farm. A spokeswoman for The Farm said they all had been taking sildenafil, a drug that can be purchased over the counter at pharmacies, in order to increase sexual desire in men.
The Food and Drug Administration said they were not aware of any other substances being sold in The Farm. A spokesman for the company said it was not aware of the case.
